Contact HealthToad

HealthToad has no backend, no account system and no contact database — by design. The form below therefore works differently from a typical contact form: it composes an email in your own mail app, and you send it from your own address. Nothing is submitted to a server, and nothing is stored on this site.

How the form works

Fill in your name, choose a topic, and write your message. When you press “Compose email”, your browser opens your default mail app — or your webmail, if that is what your device uses — with a new message already addressed and with your subject and message filled in. Check it, add anything you forgot, and press send in your mail app. If no mail app opens, your device may not have a default mail client set; in that case, copy the message text and send it manually from any email account. Either way, the message comes from you, so you keep a copy in your sent mail, and we can reply to the address you send from.

Because the form uses your mail client rather than a server, it cannot confirm delivery on this page. If your mail app shows the message in your sent folder, it has been handed over for sending. If you need an urgent answer — for example about a medical concern — please do not use this form at all; contact a clinician or, in an emergency, your local emergency service. HealthToad cannot give personal medical advice by email or any other route.

This opens your own mail app with the message pre-filled. Nothing is sent until you press send there.

What to write about

The most useful messages are specific. For a correction, name the tool or article, say what you entered, and say what result you got versus what you expected — that lets us reproduce the problem instead of guessing. For a broken tool, add your browser and device if you know them. For a new-tool suggestion, say the question you want answered rather than just a tool name; several good suggestions turn out to be one new input on an existing tool rather than a whole new page. For privacy questions, the Privacy Policy answers most of them in short form, but ask anyway if anything is unclear.

Please do not send personal health information you would not want in an email — no medical records, no photos of documents, and no account passwords. We will never ask you for a password, and any message asking for one is not from HealthToad. We read every message, though replies may take a few days, and suggestions are judged on whether they help the site's readers generally, not only the person who suggested them.
