Privacy Policy
Short version: HealthToad collects nothing about you on any server. Your calculations happen in your browser, on your device, and stay there. This page explains exactly what that means, and the few exceptions worth knowing about.
What we do not collect
HealthToad has no accounts, no sign-in, and no user database. When you use a calculator, the numbers you type — your weight, height, age, sleep times, steps, caffeine intake or anything else — are processed by code running in your browser and are not transmitted to us or to any third party by this site. We do not receive, store, analyse or sell your inputs, your results, your location, or your browsing history on this site. There is no analytics account quietly recording your visits on our behalf, and no advertising tracker embedded in the tools. If you close the page, the calculation is gone, unless a tool explicitly offers to remember it on your device, as described below.
What stays on your device
A small number of tools need memory between visits to be useful: a sleep log is pointless if it forgets yesterday, and a habit streak is the memory itself. Those tools use localStorage, a storage area inside your own browser on your own device. Data stored there — sleep entries, habit ticks, serving counts, and your light-or-dark theme preference — never leaves your device, is not accessible to other websites, and is not visible to HealthToad. It is tied to the browser and device you used: a streak kept on your phone will not appear on your laptop, because nothing was ever uploaded to synchronise it. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, or by using any clear or reset option the tool itself provides.
What your browser and host may see
Visiting any website necessarily involves your browser requesting its pages from a hosting server, and that server's ordinary logs may record technical details such as the page requested, the time, and a network address, as nearly all web servers do. HealthToad does not use those logs to identify individuals, combine them with calculator inputs, or build profiles, and the site itself sets no tracking cookies. Your browser may also store cached copies of pages for speed; that cache is on your device and under your control. If you follow a link to another website, that site's privacy policy applies there, not this one.
Children, changes and contact
HealthToad is a general-information site not directed at children, and it knowingly collects no information from anyone, child or adult, through its tools. If this policy changes — for example if a future feature genuinely needs server storage — the change will be described here before it takes effect, and no existing tool will silently start uploading data. Questions about privacy can be raised through the Contact page, which itself sends nothing to a server: it composes an email in your own mail app. This policy was last updated in October 2026.
